Meet Dr. Jardin Webb, DC
Dr. Jardin Webb, DC is an upper cervical chiropractor in Carlsbad, CA specializing in the Blair Technique and precision- based care. She earned her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Life Chiropractic College West after completing her Bachelor of Science in Biology at University of California, Santa Cruz.
Dr. Webb’s journey into chiropractic began with her love for anatomy. She always knew she wanted to work in healthcare but felt disheartened by conventional approaches that focus on masking symptoms rather than addressing the root cause.
She became drawn to the Blair technique due to its precision, specificity, and ability to tailor care to each individual’s unique structure.
Her approach to chiropractic care is centered on optimizing nervous system function so the body can heal naturally- without the need for constant adjustments. She values providing long- term solutions that empower patients to live healthier, fuller lives.
When she’s not in the office, Dr. Webb enjoys horseback riding, playing guitar, pilates, running, tossing a frisbee to her goldendoodle, and spending way too much time browsing books at Barnes & Noble.
Dr. Webb looks forward to helping you take control of your health and experience the benefits of Blair Upper Cervical Chiropractic.
The Meaning of Nova
A new light. A new beginning.
Nova comes from Latin, meaning “new”
In astronomy, a nova is a powerful burst of light - a moment when something that was once dim suddenly shines brighter than before
The body has an innate ability to adapt, heal, and thrive. When the nervous system is free from interference, the body can express that potential fully.
Just as a nova marks a moment of transformation, upper cervical care often marks a turning point- when the body shifts from struggle to stability, from survival to healing.
The Blair Technique
The Blair Upper Cervical Technique is a specific and gentle approach to chiropractic care that focuses on the top two bones in the neck, the upper cervical spine. These bones protect the brainstem, which plays a critical role in regulating balance, posture, nervous system function, and overall health. Even a small misalignment in the upper cervical spine can disrupt how the body communicates and adapts.
What makes the Blair technique unique is its emphasis on precision. No two misalignments are the same, and the use of advanced imaging allows the exact angle and direction of the misalignment to be visualized. This allows for an adjustment that is:
Specific- tailored to your unique anatomy
Gentle- no twisting, cracking, or forceful movements
Accurate- delivered at a precise angle measured from your unique anatomy. Because of this precision, many require fewer adjustments and experience longer- lasting results.
At Nova Upper Cervical Chiropractic, the goal isn’t just symptom relief - it’s restoring balance so your body can function at its full potential.
Advanced 3D Imaging (CBCT)
At Nova Upper Cervical Chiropractic, we use Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) to get a precise, three-dimensional view of the upper cervical spine.
Unlike standard X-rays, CBCT allows us to see the exact position of the vertebrae in fine detail. This is important because misalignments complex, and accurate correction depends on knowing the exact angle and direction of the misalignment.
This advanced imaging allows us to:
Customize each adjustment to your unique anatomy
Deliver gentle, precise adjustments
reduce guesswork and unnecessary adjustments
CBCT supports our commitment to precision, safety, and long-term results, helping us realign the spine and clear nervous system interference with confidence
Conditions
The body is designed to heal, adapt, and function at a high level- but only when nervous system communication is clear.
Because the upper cervical spine directly influences the brainstem, even minor misalignments can affect how the entire body responds to stress, movement, and daily life. Blair Upper Cervical care addresses these imbalances and supports the body’s ability to adapt. Many seek care for the conditions outlined below.
Vertigo & Balance Issues
Several systems work together to keep us balanced: vision, vestibular, and proprioception. Information from these systems come together and are integrated in the brainstem, which is surrounded by the upper cervical spine. Misalignments can cause disruption in these systems and result in balance issues and dizziness.
Headaches & Migraines
Upper cervical misalignments can place tension on the surrounding muscles, joints, and nervous system structures involved in head and neck function. Misalignments can also alter blood and CSF flow to the brain, which may contribute to recurring headaches or migraines
Neck Pain & Stiffness
The upper cervical spine is responsible for much of the neck’s movement and flexibility. When this area is misaligned, surrounding muscles may tighten to compensate, resulting in pain and stiffness.
Back & Shoulder Tension
When the upper neck misaligns, the head tilts. The body compensates for this by shifting posture and muscle tone throughout the shoulders and back. Once the misalignment and head tilt are corrected, these compensations can unwind as the body returns to a normal posture.
Jaw Tension & TMJ-D
The jaw, head, and neck are closely related. The head tilt caused by upper cervical misalignments can alter the way the jaw tracks. this can result in muscle tension around the jaw, head, and face
Nerve Pain & Trigeminal Neuralgia
Trigeminal neuralgia and other forms of nerve pain may occur due to misalignments causing irritation to the nerves, resulting in traveling, shooting pain
And more! Many additional conditions may be influenced by upper cervical alignment due to its close proximity to the brainstem- where our autonomic nervous system is located. All of the things our body does that we don’t have to think about (breathing, digestion, sleep, mood, hearing, vision, etc.) are controlled here. When alignment is restored and pressure is taken off the brainstem, many areas of health can be positively influenced.
